Unplug your friends -- Meetup!

Surfing the internet, I stumbled upon this video, which (much like the Wii does) reminds me that there is a whole world outside of computers and video games. That's not ironic, but this is: I hunted around a little bit, and ended up at Meetup.com, a social networking site where you can connect with other people in your area so you can meet people face to face.

Wait, what?



If you're looking to meet people, why not just go out and meet people? Join a choir, or a pottery class, or a community association. Volunteer for political campaigns, schools, charities. If you're looking for people who maybe feel like they should be getting away from the internet but aren't quite sure how to do it, click the Meetup logo anytime it appears in the video.
