Deerhoof - Offend Maggie
In case there was any doubt in your mind, Deerhoof do seem to have settled into their stride and found a sound they're sticking with. But when it's this dymanic, who can blame them? I can imagine this music must be thrilling to create; there is life and movement in every track, from serene juxtaposed with frenetic, to contemplative contrasting agitated. Take Fresh Born, below...

CocoRosie
CocoRosie is made of two sisters, Bianca Leilani Casady (Coco) and Sierra Rose Cassidy (Rosie). Wikipedia says "Sierra mainly plays the guitar, piano and harp, and contributes vocals. Bianca sings and manipulates various children's toys, and electronic & percussion instruments." I say their music is a little bit crazy, and a lot awesome.

Hanne Hukkelberg
She's a little weird (good weird, CocoRosie weird), but this tune is liltingly beautiful. Hanne Hukkelberg is Norwegian, and maybe it's her nordicness but I feel like I hear a little bit of Bjork in here too. Decide for yourself...

If you could save yourself you'd save us all
I think I got turned on to Ween through trying to impress a hip guy I was interested in. As it turns out, I really like them. I have the album this comes from on 180 gram vinyl (sexy) and I haven't put it on in a while, but maybe I'll hit it up this weekend... In the meantime, enjoy this compilation of a great Ween track and some stock footage found online. Bugs and bombs and whatnot.
